I’m very excited this week to be at AWS re:Invent to launch INRIX Mission Control with Compass, our Generative AI tool, built leveraging Amazon Bedrock.

When we started INRIX almost 20 years ago, we had a vision for leveraging GPS to create traffic data and what that could mean for transportation.  Today, we launch our SaaS application for mission-critical operations centers leveraging Generative AI in a way that no one could have imagined 20 years ago.  Technology has evolved a lot over the years, and so have we.

But this is just the beginning…we have only scratched the surface of what we can do.  Compass will allow us to start to ask questions and query our data in ways that we never could have before.  Our goal is to integrate our entire data lake of 50+ petabytes of data into a powerful engine that can not only tell you WHAT is going on, but WHY it’s happening (causality), WHAT you can do about it (prescription), and the IMPACT taking action will have (prediction).   

Our vision is clear, but we have a lot to do to achieve it.  That is why we’re committed to roll out Compass across all our products in 2024 and enhance them to further to integrate AI across our data lake to achieve the vision above.

I’m very excited about this week and the coming year and what it means for INRIX.  I truly believe that by innovating in this area, we can continue to drive the industry forward and improve some of the biggest transportation problems globally.
